LIGHTROOM finalmente VELOCE e REATTIVO grazie alla SCHEDA GRAFICA? Aggiornamento 8.4 Agosto 2019

Hi guys, my name is Fabio and welcome in this
new video! Yesterday morning, when I turned on my pc, I realized that
the application Adobe Creative Cloud, which It collects inside all the other
Adobe suite applications, had the small icon flashes to signal an
update. When I went to see what
they’ve seen the applications involved which they were those of Lightroom and
Camera Raw and those relating to photographic side. Looking at the card
technique the release tab to see which I had been inserted the updates
I saw that there were precisely the new very interesting and which
I want to talk with you. The first improved function that is also
the main one of this update is for processing
the images through the graphics card. As some of you know,
at least the biggest users Lightroom or Camera Raw (because in the
end they share the same engine) Camera Raw and Lightroom need
a very fast processor to function at its best, so are
the programs that rely heavily on cpu. The graphics card, at least until
the penultimate version, was relegated to a lesser use and was exploited
only in the development panel, for example for brushes, graduated filters,
radial and very little else. Good with this update finally
Lightroom is to exploit the card more transversal way graphics to
go to accelerate completely around The development module and also the
library module, even if we say that there was less important than the issue of
performance. To see how you do at turn we move on Lightroom. To
enable the advanced graphics processing this new update
Lightroom need to go into the menu editing and then preferences.
At this point move in the tab performance (I will remember the
English version, however, in one in Italian I think it’s
been well translated) followed at the setting and you should find it
easily. I said, in the Performance tab in the first section must check
that under “uses graphics processor” is selected custom – custom that
should be the literal translation in Italian – at this stage, check
that it is flagged in the voice that says, “uses the GPU to process
images” and this only applies to photographs that have a version from
5 and up. This version is. Now once it is flagged, click ok. If you
go to take a picture any your library and you bring in
development module, here in so lowest of all the tools
you can see that under the panel We calibration
version 5 is the current and default should be the one that
is applied to all your images.
If you have a previous version there is no problem to upgrade to
version 5 is the latest available simply because these are the
various versions of Lightroom engines. Lightroom and Camera Raw as a result,
to maintain compatibility with Previous versions within them
have all the different engines processing that have occurred
over the years. For example if I’m going to Set to this photo version 1,
you will see that in the meantime has changed Dynamic picture because it is based
precisely on how to process the Lightroom RAW files and even here in the tools you see
that we have exposure, recovery, light filling, blacks, which is how they were
called in those instruments first version of Lightroom. If
I’m going to go back to version 5 which is the current one, you see that
changing some instruments are added the other items here and return the things
that we know everyone: highlights, shadows, whites, blacks, etc.
So what you going to do this Version 5 is simply to bring
the image to be processed with Newer engine that Lightroom has a
provision that is going to take advantage of the graphics card. Now, what
I can say is that in this Right now I’m postproducendo a wedding
just with Lightroom and after this update I noticed a
greater fluidity in the development module. I can not give you a percentage, a
number of seconds or things like that why are things to feel.
After all has been accelerated the interface in the development module with
which precisely go on to develop the photo. It is not that, for example, I go to export
100 photos, stopwatch and I can tell you as it took ages before and after.
But I can tell you that overall I find it much faster and more responsive.
The thing that many Lightroom users They complained (and me in particular) is that
after a while there was put to process photos, Lightroom became
increasingly slow gradually, brushes responded more slowly, the brush
corrective will you added one, he puts a bit ‘to develop, it regularly adds another …
in short, very much more difficult as hand that went on to elaborate.
At that point the solution could be Lightroom close and reopen it. Well, with
this update any of this. Another thing that goes to work this
new version that takes advantage of the card graphic is the library module that is
accelerated, especially for people like I have a high resolution monitor (I
have a 4k monitor) In this case the use of the card
graphics is very important to generate all previews you see in the
library module. So from this point of view I have to
say bravo to that Adobe has finally understood and followed the input of our
users. Eventually I personally I like to use Lightroom and find it
a great tool for managing fotom large numbers of large volumes as
I happen for example with weddings baptisms or otherwise doing in general
photography events where you have process hundreds if not thousands of
photos. The only flaw was that it was just the
slow and it seems that as with the time they went to correct
this thing and especially with this latest update did
I think a good job. The second interesting thing they have
added with the update (Now let’s take the card
technique) as well as organize oh well gathered with color label, which
I think is a bit ‘a bullshit, no I have idea to use that it could
do, probably for those who use a lot very collections … However, in the
gathered here in the lower left corner in library module, clicking the button
right on the name of the collection can add a color label
exactly as you could already do on the individual photos. After that you see
for example in this collection I was assigned red, here I was awarded the green and
you can use even for the filters. So if one has
many many collections, he prefers organize photos in this way, it can
also be organized to further color label. For example, as I know,
use green for all collections of portrait, red for landscapes
etc. and then do research in this way. But the upgrade is not this
that I wanted to talk about, which is located in export module. then
select, indeed we leave selected this photo,
go to File ->Export and at this point The thing you can see is that the format
of the image in addition to jpeg appeared PNG. So we can
export directly from the Lightroom png pictures in both 8-bit and 16-bit.
Now: what advantage can there be for PNG compared to jpeg? The PNG is a compressed format
too, but with a compression that is without loss. As you may remember
from the video, for example, the comparison between because it snaps into jpeg compared to
RAW, the jpeg is a compressed format with loss that to save space goes to
throw out a whole series of color information. So, for
example, if we have a sunset sky with a color transition, depending on
the compression which we set in jpeg we might have colored bands
because to save space on jpeg went to throw out all the
information about the tone and gradual transition that instead there was
in the original image in raw. This It does not happen with the png. In contrast
PNG is a compressed format, but without loss, which can not compress
the image and then basically files They will be larger. Grosse differences
Apart from these there are none. Maybe PNG can go may be more
suitable when there are graphics, written, the lines in the
photos than jpeg. However, the fact that they have added
this option in my opinion is interesting in order to make these exports
directly from Lightroom for those concerned, whereas before I had to pass
as I know from Photoshop or tools analogs. Another update that has
been done with the combining batch panoramic and HDR. As you may know,
directly from Lightroom you can be going to create HDR panoramas and that though,
until the version prior to this, what could be done was to do it one
at a time. So if I, for example, 5 photos of the HDR’m going to select
all and then I’m going to choose the option to tell Lightroom andarmi to create
the final image HDR. Same with scene. Well, with this version it is
possible, if we have taken to 10 Panoramic example in the same
day, we had a nice trip 10 scenic mountain and we have that
we want to create, first drive to select all photos and merge them into
a stack. So put them together in so that Lightroom can the group.
Now here I do it on the more photos but just to let you make
the idea of how to do it: you select all photos,
then with the right key you go to try stacking which is just above “creates
virtual copy.” (on I know how to have it translated into
Italian, stacking means literally stack, so it may be a
similar term), and it goes on to say “groups together in a” stack in
a stack. Here in the library can identified by the fact that
in the upper left of the photo has indicated that those
photos are part of a stack of a stacked group of photos and there is also the
number of photos in it. Well, if we do this thing for
all panoramas or HDR that we are going to create,
at which point we can select all, and we do it with another
that so maybe has even more meaning, here we take more photos and create
a second stack, so two groups, we do clicking the right button, and at this
point if I go to select “Photo Merge” here in mid ie “merge pictures” you see
that lets me select scene. Now in Now he said “two
merge operations are in view been added to the operations. “I do not
have the foggiest idea what jumps out with the portrait images
taken at the event, however, have understood the sense. First he had to do for the group
group and scene for scene. In This way, once you have
gathered all the various photos, you can simply go to launch
the operation together and go there to take coffee because depending on the number of
panoramas that went to create and your PC’s speed could put
a few minutes, but then you You end up your panoramic or
your HDR everyone already made inside the library. This, too,
I think is very convenient. All these things still go to
speed up a little bit workflow. The last thing that was added, but
here I will leave you anyway link below in description with the summation of
all the updated features in this version of Lightroom, covers the
support for new goals and new cameras. Andatevelo see, maybe
there is the goal that you had before and It was not supported and has been added
to the list. OK guys, well, with this is all for today’s video that I hope you
found it useful at least to find out What was there in this new
update of Lightroom. I again compliments to Adobe because finally
seems to be following the directions users. Let me know what you
think with a comment below, if the video you liked please leave a like and
share it with all the people who could be interested in and we’ll
see you next time! Bye!

  1. Finalmente 😀 ci voleva un bel aggiornamento ti volevo chiedere se potevi fare un video su i moltiplicatori focali ti stimo molto spero che puoi risolvere i miei dubbi ciao

  2. OK….
